Actress, producer and new mom Anushka Sharma has garnered about 1.4 million new followers on Instagram in March, taking her total followers tally to 47.8 million.

The 32-year-old actress, who is currently on maternity break, has raced past the followers count of her Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012) and Zero (2018) co-star Katrina Kaif earlier this week and is currently the 10th most popular Indian on Instagram with 47.8 million followers.

Sharma, who has a 2-month baby girl named Vamika with her husband and Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli, has gained 3.1 million Instagram followers in 2021 so far. The actress has had an excellent 2020 as a producer with her projects – Netflix film “Bulbbul” and Amazon Prime Video series “Paatal Lok” – receiving rave reviews and sweeping the inaugural Filmfare OTT awards. Sharma is currently on her maternity break and yet to announce her 2021 projects.

Canadian dancer and actress Nora Fatehi, best known for her special appearances in music videos and songs in Indian films, has gained 1.5 million new followers on Instagram in March 2021. The 29-year-old celebrity’s music video “Dilbar” from the film Satyameva Jayate (2018) that instantly propelled her to international fame has recently clocked 1 billion views on YouTube.

Fatehi’s latest music video, titled “Chhor Denge”, featuring Ehan Bhat (99 Songs), has amassed over 243 million views on YouTube since its release on 4 February.

The talented self-taught dancer is awaiting the release of war-drama “Bhuj: The Pride of India”, produced by T-Series and starring Ajay Devgan, Sonakshi Sinha and Sanjay Dutt, in which she is playing the role of a spy. The film is directed by Abhishek Dudhaiya in his feature film directorial debut.

Nora Fatehi currently has 24.5 million followers on Instagram.

Singer and Indian Idol judging panel member Neha Kakkar has also amassed 1.5 million followers on Instagram in March. Kakkar’s latest music video “Marjaneya“, composed by Rajat Nagpal and featuring Big Boss 14 winner Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla has garnered over 33 million views on YouTube since its release on 18 March.

The 32-year-old has has a very successful 2020 and was recognised by audio streaming giant Spotify for being the most-streamed Punjabi as well as Hindi female artist of the year. Kakkar was also the most-followed Indian celebrity (excluding sportspersons) on Instagram with 20 million new followers last year.

The singer currently has 54.2 million followers and is the 5th most-followed Indian on the platform.

Shraddha Kapoor has amassed over 1.5 million followers on Instagram in March and is currently the third most-followed Indian on the photo and video-sharing platform with 59.6 million followers.

Kapoor’s 2019 blockbuster Chhichhore, that also starred late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, was awarded the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi at the 67th National Film Awards announced on 22 March 2021.

The actress was last seen on the big screen in Baaghi 3 opposite Tiger Shroff in March 2020. The action-thriller, despite lukewarm critical reviews, went on to become the second highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2020.

Kapoor celebrated her 34th birthday on 3 March and is awaiting the release of her “Nagin”, directed by Vishal Furia. She is also set to work on director Luv Ranjan’s untitled film opposite Ranbir Kapoor in which she reportedly plays a waitress at a restaurant in Spain.

Indian television actress Jannat Zubair Rahmani (Tu Aashiqui) has gained 1.6 million followers on Instagram in March. The 19-year-old actress, who has also starred in 24 music videos so far, has 25.6 million followers on Instagram.

Rahmani’s latest music video “Carrom Ki Rani“, sung by Ramji Gulati and featuring Mr Faisu aka Faisal Shaikh, has clocked over 11 million views on YouTube since its release on 15 February 2021. Her upcoming music video “Lehja“, sung by Abhi Dutt and again featuring Mr Faisu, is set to premiere on YouTube on Good Friday.
