Oscars shortlists in nine award categories announced

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced shortlists in nine categories for the 93rd Academy Awards (2021). This includes Best Documentary Feature, Best Documentary Short Subject, Best International Feature Film, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Original Score, Best Original Song, Best Animated Short Film, Best Live Action Short Film and Best Visual Effects.

Nominations for the 93rd Academy Awards will be announced on Monday, 15 March 2021.

The 93rd Oscars will be held on Sunday, 25 April 2021, and will be televised live on ABC and in more than 225 countries and territories worldwide.
