BAFTA today announced the nominations for the 2023 EE BAFTA Film Awards.

German World War I film All Quiet on the Western Front led the nominations by getting selected in fourteen categories including Best Film, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay and Best Film Not in the English Language. The Banshees of Inisherin and Everything Everywhere All At Once got ten nominations each.

Indian blockbuster RRR, which won several accolades in the USA Critics Awards circuit, was a notable exception in the Best Film Not in the English Language category. Tom Cruise’s critically-acclaimed Top Gun: Maverick failed to get nominated in the Best Film category but received a nod in four technical categories.

The winners will be announced on 19 February (Sunday) at the EE BAFTA Film Awards.
