Netflix drops gripping trailer for sci-fi thriller Outside the Wire
Streaming giant Netflix has dropped a gripping trailer for “Outside the Wire”, directed by Mikael Håfström (Evil), starring Anthony Mackie (Altered Carbon) and British actor Damson Idris (Snowfall).
The trailer introduces a young drone pilot Harp (Idris) who is assigned to work under Captain Leo (Anthony Mackie) as a punishment after breaking the chain of command during his previous mission. Harp is shocked to realise that Leo is an android, however before he could react, Leo tells Harp he is promoted to the role of a commanding officer. Harp and Leo then embark on a new mission because Leo needs “someone who could think outside the box.” As the duo battle enemies on and off the field, Harp realises Leo is breaking the protocol, however Leo assures him that he is a combat officer who is allowed to break the rules in “extreme situations” but Harp isn’t convinced and starts believing that Leo is using him to execute a hidden plan.
The action-thriller also features Emily Beecham (Hail, Caesar!), Michael Kelly (House of Cards) and Pilou Asbæk (Game of Thrones).
“Outside the Wire” is set to debut on Netflix on 15 January.
