A number of interesting Indian films, some of them long-delayed, are lined up for release in November.

Let’s have a look at what the month has to offer:

  • Miss India starring Keerthy Suresh on 4 November on Netflix

“Miss India” follows an Indian girl Samyukta, played by Keerthy Suresh, who is determined to become a successful self-made enterpreneur despite the constraints imposed on her by her own family who insist she “does a job”. However, Samyukta goes ahead with her plans and starts a multinational business centered around Indian chai, and embarks on an incredible journey that includes locking horns with a powerful businessman.

The drama was originally scheduled to release on 17 April 2020 but had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic before Netflix took up the worldwide distribution rights and is set to release the film on 4 November 2020 in Telugu and Tamil languages.

  • Laxmii starring Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani on 9 November on Disney + Hotstar

One of the most anticipated films of the year, Laxmii, is set to release on 9th November in select cinemas in Australia, New Zealand and UAE where cinemas have reopened, and will start streaming on Disney + Hotstar platform in the rest of the countries from the same date.

The Raghava Lawrence-directorial is a Hindi remake of the 2011 Tamil blockbuster “Kanchana” that the filmmaker wrote, directed, produced and also played the lead character. This was the second installment of the hugely-successful four-part “Muni” film series created by Mr Lawrence.

The film’s title was revised to “Laxmii” from its original titled “Laxmmi Bomb” on 30 October following objections from religious groups over associating Laxmmi (name of a Hindu Goddess) with an explosive.
