Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is returning to the big screen after nearly four years (barring a special appearance in a video song in the 2021 film Koi Jaane Na) with Laal Singh Chaddha, the official Hindi adaptation of the Academy Award-winning film Forrest Gump (1994).

Directed by Advait Chandan (Secret Superstar), Laal Singh Chaddha also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan (3 Idiots) and Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya (Majili) making his Bollywood debut. The drama is distributed by Paramount Pictures in international territories and slated to release in cinemas worldwide on Thursday, 11 August.

Laal Singh Chaddha has been age-rated 12A for “moderate violence, domestic abuse, bloody images, suicide references” by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC). The runtime of the film is 159m 1s.
