After a nine-year hiatus since Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani (2013), director Ayan Mukherji is back with his third film in which he collaborates for the third time with his favourite actor Ranbir Kapoor in Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva, produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions (Jug Jugg Jeeyo, Liger).

The fantasy adventure is Ayan and Ranbir’s biggest project to date and also stars Alia Bhatt (Gangubai Kathiawadi, RRR), Mouni Roy (Gold), Nagarjuna Akkineni (Manmadhudu), Amitabh Bachchan (Runway 34) and superstar Shah Rukh Khan in a cameo.

The big-budget Bollywood film is distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures in international territories and is set to release on 9 September (Friday) in Hindi (original), Tamil (dubbed) and Telugu (dubbed).

Brahmāstra has been certified 12A for “moderate violence, bloody images, threat” by the British Board of Film Classification (BBFC). The runtime of the film is 166m 31s.
