Bafta Film Awards 2021: Full list of Nominees and Winners
The second night of BAFTA Film Awards was hosted by Edith Bowman and Dermot O’Leary at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The event kicked off with a tribute to the organisation’s first president, the Duke of Edinburgh, who passed away aged 99 on Friday.
The presenters announcing the winners included Hugh Grant (A Very English Scandal), Tom Hiddleston (The Night Manager), Priyanka Chopra Jonas (The White Tiger) and Phoebe Dynevor (Bridgerton) whilst the winners delivered their acceptance speeches remotely.
Nomadland dominated the awards by winning the Best Film, Best Leading Actress for Frances McDormand, Best Director for Chloé Zhao and Best Cinematography for Joshua James Richards.
Sir Anthony Hopkins was awarded the Best Leading Actor for The Father.
Daniel Kaluuya (Judas and the Black Messiah) and Yuh-Jung Youn (Minari) won the Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress respectively.
Emerald Fennell’s Promising Young Woman fetched her the Best Original Screenplay and Best Outstanding British Film.
The EE Rising Star award went to Bukky Bakray (Rocks).
The winners for some technical categories were announced on Saturday night.
