Oscars 2023 shortlists in ten award categories announced

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced shortlists in ten awards categories for the 95th Academy Awards. This includes Best Documentary Feature, Best Documentary Short Subject, Best International Feature Film, Best Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Original Score, Best Original Song, Best Animated Short Film, Best Live Action Short Film and Best Visual Effects.

Nominations for the 95th Academy Awards will be announced on Tuesday, 24 January 2023.

The 95rd Oscars will be held on Sunday, 12 March 2023 and will hosted by comedian Jimmy Kimmel for the third time after having hosted the show in 2017 and 2018.
